Dr. Stacey FineranĀ 

Hello! Iā€™m Stacey. After many years of university teaching, I've decided to launch an online community to share my knowledge and network with a larger audience.Ā I have a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Science and Ph.D. in Environmental Science from the Ohio State University. I am an Associate Professor of Professional Practice in Environmental Assessment. I have developed and taught courses in Environmental Science, Energy and the Environment, Natural Resources Management, and Environmental Impact Assessment both as it is practiced in the United States and internationally. I serve as Director for the Master of Environment and Natural Resources (MENR) graduate program and the Graduate Certificate in Environmental Assessment. I am a member of the International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA) where I serve as Technical Coordinator for the Fit for Future Initiative and theĀ Liaise with Environmental Law Organizations Initiative under IAIA's Climate Change Action Plan. My interests include US & International Environmental Impact Assessment,Ā Systems Dynamics, distance learning for environmental science & environmental policy, historical landscape ecology, Nature-based Solutions (NbS), Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA), Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), and career counseling for those seeking to work in the environmental field. I look forward to sharing with you!

Katie Fineran (MPH)

Hey there! I'm Katie. As an early career professional, I have created an online communityĀ to help members thrive andĀ enhance their impact on the myriad environmental issues we're faced with today.Ā I have my Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science (Ecosystem Restoration specialization) from the Ohio State University, and my Master of Public Health degree from The University of Haifa. I've worked as a student instructional assistant, teaching assistant, and graduate research assistant and contributed to research on urban vulnerability, resilience, and adaptation to climate change. I'm a member of the International Association for Impact Assessment (IAIA) and a contributor to their new Fit for Future (3F) initiative. My interests include ecology, restoration, and the impacts of climate change on public health. I am excited to use this platform to engage with fellow environmental professionals from every stage of the career pathway. Let's work together to build a better World.
